Contract Field Application Engineer
Flexible Location, United Kingdom

The Role:

  • LDRA Limited, a unique manufacturer of Software Development Tools and Services is seeking contract Field Applications Engineers (FAE's) to support the sales, marketing, and technical applications consulting of leading software products targeting the Real Time and Embedded systems marketplace.

  • The Field Applications Engineer is a key customer-facing role with significant influence in generating new business and ensuring the growth of existing accounts.

This critical position has the following elements:

  • Research, design, test, implement and maintain software systems to meet client needs. Developing existing systems by analysing and identifying areas for modification. Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects.

The Person:

  • At least 2 years of technology experience (in software or development tools) as an FAE, System Engineer, Software Engineer or Consultant
  • Hands-on experience in Software Development with C and C++. - Experience with Ada83/95, Java or C# would be considered an Asset
  • Security clearance considered an advantage

Experience with five or more of the following:

  • Software testing tools (LDRA, Rational TestRT, VectorCast, Parasoft, Mercury Test Director, etc)
  • UML/SysML modelling Tools (Artisan, Rhapsody, Rational Rose etc)
  • Requirements Management Tools (DOORS, Rational ReqPro, Reqtify etc)
  • Embedded OpenGL programming
  • Avionics development and DO-178B
  • Strong knowledge in both Unix and Windows platforms
  • Practical experience with Real Time Operating Systems such as Green Hills Integrity or WindRiver WorkBench and VXworks)
  • Basic knowledge of Embedded Software Development, Requirements Managements and Project Management

In addition, you will need:

  • BS or MS in computer science or engineering
  • The ability to travel up to 50% in support of regional activities
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Smart, creative, energetic, conscientious, and enthusiastic persona with strong problem solving skills. Strong work ethic and the ability to get things done

Embedded Software Field Application Engineer
Flexible Location, United States of America

The Role:

  • Pre-sales and post-sales activity such as technical presentations and product demonstrations
  • Customer evaluations follow-up, technical support and tool customization deployment on customer target cross-environments to ensure our customers' success
  • Training and support, designing and implementing mechanisms to facilitate the exchange of data between Host and the full range of target environments

The Person:

  • Bright and dedicated Software Field Applications Engineer with strong embedded software development skills
  • A self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic team environment, and shares an interest in creating world-class software development testing technology
  • Degree/Masters qualification in Software Engineering or related subject
  • Proven track record with a minimum of 4 years experience in embedded/real time industry
  • Strong skills in C and C++ (Ada an advantage) in a system level engineering environment
  • Understanding of IDE's such as Tornado, Cosmic, Metroworks, Simulink and Green Hills
  • Understanding of RTOS' such as VxWorks, Integrity and QNX Neutrino and integration with remote target processors
  • Experience in structural code analysis and OO technology an advantage
  • Proficient in Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms

Senior Business Development / Key Account Manager
Flexible Location, United States of America

The Role:

  • To persuade customers to buy and continue to buy LDRA products and services and to assist with identifying and defining the products and services customers will want to purchase
  • Attract customers, present LDRA's products and services to customers, convincing customers that this product is what they want, and completing the sale
  • Monitoring your sales performance in the field against indicators for inputs (number of calls, mail shots, attending exhibitions, sales visits etc) and outputs (sales revenue)
  • Managing and developing yourself in ways that contribute to the achievement of organisational and personal effectiveness, and for the opportunity to use your abilities and develop your experience and skills

The Person:

  • Bright and dedicated Senior Sales Manager with proven track record and a minimum of 5 years' embedded/real time software market experience
  • A self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic team environment, and shares an interest in software development testing technology
  • Degree qualification in Software Engineering or related subject desirable, but not essential
  • Some knowledge of C and C++ (Ada an advantage) in a system level engineering environment; IDE's such as Tornado, Cosmic, Metroworks, Simulink and Green Hills; RTOS' such as VxWorks, Integrity and QNX Neutrino and integration with remote target processors; structural code analysis and OO technology an advantage
  • Ideally, proficient in Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms
  • Written English and verbal communication skills are essential
